What is BookGuard?

BookGuard is an AI-powered evaluation framework that assesses books against UAE cultural values, child safety, theme complexity, and language level to support parents and educators.

How is the overall score calculated?

The overall score is a weighted combination: Cultural Values (35%), Child Safety (35%), Theme Complexity (15%), and Language Complexity (15%).

What do the verdicts mean?

Recommended (90–100), Whitelisted (70–89), Parental & Teacher Guidance (50–69), Not Whitelisted (0–49). Red-line rule: Cultural or Child Safety below 30 results in Not Whitelisted.

What age groups does BookGuard use?

We use MOE age brackets: Early Years, Cycle 1, Cycle 2, Cycle 3, corresponding to different developmental stages.

Is my data private?

Evaluations are processed securely. We do not share your data with third parties for marketing. See our Privacy Policy for details.

Who evaluates the books?

Books are evaluated by our AI system trained on UAE DGE standards. Results are evidence-based with citations from the text.

How can I request an evaluation?

Use the Admin Portal to upload a book. Educators and admins can submit books for evaluation after signing in.

What file formats are supported?

We support PDF, DOCX, and TXT for evaluation.

Can I see the evidence behind a score?

Yes. Each book profile shows system scores and, where available, key findings and citations from the text.

Is BookGuard available in Arabic?

Yes. The public portal and content are available in both English and Arabic. Use the language switcher in the navigation.
